My vote goes to blogging.

Why?

To start let me explain, how we earn from the sites which pay us to blog or to submit our articles.

When we submit an article, it gets published and with our article appears ads, like at Benefits of Joint Family-Child Care,this is a article from my writers team, you can see "Ads by Yahoo". Triond use Yahoo ad network.

Whatever income my article generate on it, ads impressions by visitors and the ads clicked which are on this article, small percentage of it Triond share with me. In a way its a life time earning for me, till people will keep visiting article,it will keep generating revenue for Triond and hence Triond will keep sharing with me.

If you read the above paragraph thoroughly, you must have figured out why I prefer blogging then writing articles. Should I blog on blogger or wordpress?

When I started blogging on 11th feb '08, I didn't knew about WordPress at all. Got some blogs on Blogger /blogspot and thought of going with it.

Previously I had at geocities, but its not a blog, I just upload the pictures of jewelery, I make, on it. As I had been a programmer so did the whole coding there.

Then I started blogging on Blogger,with my first blog My-Gravy-Train . Traffic was slow and I was going with free advertising as then I was not earning enough online to spend on a blog. I read many sites/blogs and after a few months of blogging I was convinced that, I made a bad decision, I should have chosen WordPress. Some blogs/sites mentioned, blogger is a google tool so google search engine skips it while searching. I read it so many times that I started a blog on WordPress,for a day, then some how I felt more familiar and comfortable with blogger,so continued on it.

As usual, I was going with my free advertising and slowly slowly my traffic was increasing. Traffic flow was not only from free traffic sites but Google mainly and yahoo, ask and few more.

Largely traffic was from Google search engine.

It is the fact the Blogger is google product. Though many mention it as disadvantage on contrary its a benefit.

Once we make a website or post a article on a blog, for new website/blog to appear on Google search engine it takes around 3 months to 5 months. Then Google will crawl your blog/website and add in its index.

While with Blogger, any blog or new post added to Blogger in immediately indexed in Google search engine database which helps receiving traffic the moment your blog/post is published.

So you save your time of waiting for traffic.

Again its a free way to generate traffic to your blog and in this one, no efforts are needed as simply publish your post and you are on your way to traffic.

Can we really make money from Blog? Yes we can.

Can we really make money from blog, blogging free? Again the answer is Yes.

I can confidently answer YES as I got Google Adsense check/ cheque of 10,000 as my November 2008 earning (received on 3rd December 2008)

I have around 10-12 blogs, about make money online, make money blogging, about workout, kids etc. Some do fine, some works really well. All blogs are hosted at www.blogger.com

I started blogging on 12th Feb 2008. Its now going to be a year and few blogs traffic have crossed 14000 and most recent blog visitors are just 400 (started on 17th Jan 2009 UmmChutney )

How much I paid for advertising or traffic or visitors? Nothing. Same as my blogs are free so is my traffic. Ofcourse biggest source of traffic is Google. I am member of few free advertising site, which provides me quality traffic and so I receive the google ads impressions and it improves my earnings.

To blog, you need to have a topic. The topic which interest you can be good to start blogging but better is blog about what people are looking for as then only you get search engine traffic.

If you are still thinking whether you can make money from blog, take my words , yes you can.

Explore the free options and try not to click your own Google ads or don't be a member of groups where people clicks each others ads as it may sooner or later lead to a Google Banned account.

For advertising, you can visit free traffic post on this blog. Highly recommended is EasyHits4u as this site not only provides me with loads of traffic for free but it also pays me. For every 1000 sites we surf on site we get 30 cents. Get paid for traffic on your blog!

Keep in mind to title your post search friendly. For example, when I started blogging, my first post on blog My-Gravy-train I titled Introduction. I didn't any visitor on the post.

Few months back I changed the title to Make Money Online, Earn Money Online and after three days I saw it appeared in Google search.

So title your post including keyword related to your post.

Traffic exchange sites and proper post title drags visitors to your blog which is directly related to the earnings.

I made a blog and afterward I was trying to change the Layout and when I pasted the XML code, I got this error. It happened with me for every blog for which I changed the layout. But the most recent one,which encouraged me to write this article,gave me this error 21 times in a row. Believe Me!

As what I came to conclusion was its because blogger gets overloaded and that why saving creates a problem.

What I tried and succeeded was : Instead of copying the whole code together I copied in steps.

To begin with, copy the whole XML code which you want as new layout in a Notepad file.

Now copy the code from ?xml to the part till where variable are declared from the notepad file and highlight the same code area on "Edit HTML" in blogger (top to till end of variable declarations). When you save it, you may get error as variable names for the layout you have and the one you are copying are different (happened with me).

Error came ,I didn't change anything and moved to next step, then copy the body { to Header part of new xml code(for new blog layout) again highlight exactly the same piece of code on your blogger html, click save

Error again as some variable are still not defined, then copied whole header code and then I tried the whole rest of code.

No error! everything safe and sound and blog with nee layout was ready.

Remember to copy the code exactly in same area or over same code in blogger->Layout->Edit HTML

LapTop Crashed!

Definately this post is not at all related to "Make Money Blogging" , but it is to blog and bloggers.

My Laptop Crashed! A unplanned and unexpected break from Blogging. Though this is the time when I am getting lot of traffic as I mentioned in Global Recession: Can we still make money online?

So it happens,when you are expecting and dedicating your more then ever time to blogging you suddenly get a break,may be due to N number of reason.

Is there a back-up plan?
Ofcourse not, asa this break came as a surprise.

What is the loss?
The more frequently/regularly ,we blog, the more,search engines display our blog in related search. So if blogging reduces so does the search engine ranking.

Also frequent updates to blog keep readers/subscribers clinged to your blog as there is always something new to read.

What can be done?
When I am online and updating my blog, sometimes I have many topics and I select which one should I post now, which also means other topics are somehow complete and ready to be posted.

First of all->I have a Notepad File,where I jot down the topics which I want to blog

Second Notepad file or many a times a paper or a notebook I have,where I have written the next article

When I am not getting time to blog : If possible I take out time and post a article,the way I am doing now. I am at a library where I get only one hour to surf and that I am utilizing for blogging. And I prepared the post at home on a paper so here I am just typing and saving the thinking and compiling time.

Second Option: Got a break,Take a break .Treat it as a post to the blog which has lowered the traffic as some post really do. When I posted Mortgage N Loans Help it reduced my traffic to half on my blog My-Gravy-Train

After a break, we come more fresh and enthusiastic for or in our next post.

How is blog listed in search engines,search result? What are most appropriate words for your blog/website. What are the words visitors generally search which are best for your blog/website?

I got a few queries,related to it so it was better to post it all in a topic.

Once you create your blog,we can still change the template or Layout of blog.

It happens when we create a blog, we are so new to blogger that we just take what we got without exploring new layouts.

Like this blog you are reading now, I changed its layout twice before I finalized this look.

The only point to be kept in mind is,modifying the template/layout ,deletes the sidebar widgets. SideBar: The column you can see on right-hand side ,thats a sidebar.

So before you change a template ,its advisable to copy paste all the sidebar widget data. If you only had Blogger Widgets like, About me, Adsense, Video bar then even not copying the code is fine as you can add it again by clicking "add widget" on Layout screen.

People can be rich by Google Adsense, its not a myth.

There are many people making there living with it. And there are reasons for it too.

First of all, Google adsense is a advs service from Google, which we can display on our blogs/websites.

We do earn,just to display advs. It mainly depends on the traffic though. The more the traffic/visitors the more advs are displayed ,so we are revenue for displaying advs. (Advs impression)

Second is, if any visitor clicks our advs we earn some revenue, ofcourse it has better revenue generation then simply displaying advs.

Third is, refferal products. There is a section of referral products, display some advs from it and if somebody buys the product or sometimes just install the product,through our link we get paid. This is highly paying product.

Google is closing the Refferal product service from last week of August. Refferal ads are the one which we selected manually to display on our blog and the one which made me earn $100 in a day.
